Mr. Jeeves entered the shelter on September 9, 2005. He was fostered by two wonderful people, Suki and Al Anderson. After staying with them for three months, they decided to make him a permanent member of their family and adopt him. His adoption was finalized on December 30, 2005. What a great Christmas present for Mr. Jeeves and his new family!

Tyson was adopted by the Department of Corrections and graduated from their program. Tyson is now working in New York City with the Department of Corrections.

Dear Staff,
Thank you for being so kind to me while I lived at your facility. I now have a nice home and two new friends that take very good care of me, but none of this could have been possible without your good and caring nature.
Charlie took me to the veterinarian and he was most impressed at the quality of care that was given to me, and even said how much he liked and trusted the Lock Haven SPCA. After a complete examination he gave us a clean bill of health. I am due to be spayed on March 31, 2006. (But I don't want to think about it).
If any of you good folks ever travel up this way, please come and see me.
Your friend,
Doodles

Jim and Dee Pletcher adopted Julia, an American Bulldog/Boxer mix, from the shelter. Her new name is "Puddin Pie" and she is doing extremely well with her new family. According to the Pletchers, "She is the sweetest thing!!!!! She's also very smart, and wonderful with our cats." They also adopted two cats from the shelter, Benny and Angelo. They now call Angelo, Boomer, because "he goes down the steps like a bag of rocks. He literally stomps when he walks, and appears to be bottom heavy. We think it's that big tail of his. We can't thank you enough for helping us to get these new members of our family!!!!!!!"

Hi!
We just wanted to give you an update on Bentley (otherwise known as Rubien while in your care). He was the golden that came in with his cocker spaniel friend in May.
Bentley is doing great. He has adapted very well into our family. Our resident golden (Parker) immediately loved him! He is living the high life, and is already spoiled rotten. His days are filled with bunny watching out the window, chewing bones, lounging on the sofa and of course wrestling around with Park. And his all time favorite activity... swimming! The first time we took him we couldn't help but laugh. It seemed as though he must not have done any swimming in his previous home. However, it didn't take him long to realize how much fun swimming is, and now he is able to keep up with Parker. He has even started to imitate Park as a "dock dog". (As you can see by the one picture of him jumping off the dock). He is a very eager to please dog! We've been working very hard on our leash skills, and he is starting to learn that walking beside us is much better than dislocating our arms by dragging us down the street!
Shortly after we got him we had the unfortunate experience to experience a seizure. Quite a scary experience. We rushed him to the vet, and were told to start documenting and if they became more regular we would look at other options. Well, a few more followed, so Mr. Bent had to experience his fair share of testing and blood work and is now on Phenobarbital twice a day. We haven't seen a seizure since he started, and the vet is pleased. We were just up for another round of blood work to make sure the medication levels were good for him. Now we'll go again in three months, and then every six after that.
It is quite obvious to us how happy Bent is. He never leaves us out of his sight, and often insists on sitting ON us just so he can be so close. I often try to imagine what he's been through in his past life.
I've attached a few pictures of him happy in his new home! As you can see he no longer has the sad brown eyes that originally made us fall in love with him. He now has the happy golden eyes... which are even better!!
Thank you all for allowing us to adopt him!

Hello. Here are 2 pictures of Eliza. I adopted her from you in October 2006. She is a really great friend and very, very playful and full of spunk.

I just thought I'd send you a picture of Ginger/Jayne (now renamed Gracie), taken shortly after I got her home last Wednesday. As you can see, she's made herself quite comfortable. I took her to my vet in State College yesterday and, other than an upper respiratory infection, she's in fine health.

Here is a photo of Junie B. Jones, best looking and best behaved dog in Forksville! Thanks and keep up the good work!!

We got Abe in December of 2003, 6 days after we just lost our cocker spaniel of 15 years. Abe is a wonderful dog, he is so loving. He loves to sit on a lap, going for walks, stopping at the firehall where he is the mascot, and he loves going fishing in the boat and kissing the fish that we catch.
We got Toby in May of 2004 he is a lap cat and loves playing with his sister Chloe.
We then got Molly in November of 2005. She is our hyper one out of the bunch. She also loves to go for walks, fishing in the boat and loves to talk after her morning walk to get her breakfast.
All of them would like to give a big thank you to everyone at the SPCA for taking great care of them before they were adopted.

Kaih came to the shelter with a broken leg. She was adopted by Chris Lindquest and is now happily living with her forever family!

Ellie was adopted by the Pennsylvania State Police and is now a drug dog for them.
